The Promise Of A New Year
Are You Fooling Yourself?
There you are, still filled with Christmas fare, taking all the wrapping paper and discarded boxes to the trash and the year nears its end…
As you level out from several days of eat drink and be merry, if you have been financially able, you cast your thoughts to what a new year will bring.
Is this the point where you start to mentally list your goals for the new year?
You may be a pen-and-paper kind of person and scribble down all the dreams you want to fulfil in the promised lands of a brand new year.
What is it that will make the number of the year changing, that will give you new aspirations that you didn't realise in the last year?
There is a very great chance that whatever you are setting up as a special attainment for next year, may well have been very similar to that which you had for this year…and yes, perhaps several previous years…yes?
So, what am I getting at?
Well my point is, and definitely in my opinion, goal setting does not have a primary position based on the turning of a year, nor for a month, nor week nor day!
