I hear you and feel for you... But perhaps looking at how you monetize your content on these newsletter platforms may be a strategy... Yes the claps and views is rubbish, and giving free has become a cultural method of leverage... Obviously I am speaking blind on this but within each article you produce you should be aiming to send people to your money site or sites... Forgive me if you already do. Also, keep in mind by putting your articles in and maintaining your personal brand echoes out to Uncle G (my name for Google). The algorithm for Google is well skewd these days and a useful tactic is to ensure you are on media that Google is actually putting in front of your potential audience. I personally have a love hate relationship with many writing platforms but a) I live scribbling no matter what the financial return b) I believe there is advantage continuing (even if you reduce your output)... Purely my thoughts and observations and a call to keep up the good fight... Real writers are a dying breed. My very best regards for your future
